Unmanned space mission - Unmanned space missions are those using remote-controlled spacecraft. Many space missions are more suitable for unmanned missions rather than manned space missions, due to lower cost and lower risk factors.
List of space shuttle missions - This is a list of missions flown by space shuttles. As of 2005, only the United States () has flown human spaceflight shuttle missions, in the Space Shuttle program, while the Soviet Union () flew one unmanned flight of the Buran.
Lunar Orbiter program - The Lunar Orbiter program was a series of five unmanned Lunar orbiter missions launched by the United States in 1966 through 1967 with the purpose of mapping the lunar surface before the Apollo landings. All five missions were successful, and 99 % of the Moon was photographed with a resolution of 60 m or better.
Pioneer program - The US Pioneer program of unmanned space missions was designed for planetary exploration. There were a number of such missions in the program, but the most notable were Pioneer 10 and Pioneer 11, which explored the outer planets and left the solar system.
