Folk art - Folk Art describes a wide range of objects that reflect the craft traditions, and traditional social values, of various social groups. Folk artists are generally self-taught.
Fraktur (Pennsylvania German folk art) - In the United States, Fraktur is used to describe highly artistic and elaborate 18th century and 19th century illuminated folk art drawings created by the Pennsylvania Dutch (perhaps more strictly Pennsylvania Deitsch or Pennsylvanian German). Most Fraktur were created between 1740 and 1860.
